Historic Reenactment

I portrayed General George Washington for the Pennsylvania Historical and Museum Commision's annual Christmas crossing of the Delaware River 1997 and 1999.

"Robert Gerenser is a force to be reckoned with in New Hope. He is an expert on George Washington and plays our first president in many reenactments. He has crossed the Delaware on Christmas day as General Washington and he even played Washington in this year's presidential inaugural parade in Washington DC When I called him I said I wanted someone to speak for the town. He was only too happy to do it. I knew that he had had experiences at his theater in town and I was thrilled that he so easily spoke about it. He is a very eloquent speaker for the town and we were delighted to have him."
